This Privacy Policy describes how O'Daddio Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information in the Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm app for iPhone (the “App”) and on https://odaddiolabs.com (the “Site”).

A future Android edition of Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm, if we publish one, will be covered by this policy unless we post a dated update.

We do not create Chirpsy user accounts. We do not run an app server that stores your alarms, Health data, calendar, or microphone audio. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

If you use a feature that needs the internet (weather, news, radio, Home Assistant, a subscription through Apple, or sending us email), that feature sends data to the service you chose—not to a Chirpsy user database.

1. The App (Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm)

1.1 What stays on your device

Alarm times, sounds, wallpapers, tasks, device pairings, and similar settings are stored on your device.

That data leaves the device only if:

  • you send us a support or feedback email,

  • you turn on a feature that calls a third-party or local service (section 1.3), or

  • you back up the device (for example with Apple iCloud or Finder), which is governed by Apple’s policies.

1.2 Subscriptions (no Chirpsy account)

Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm may offer an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store.

You do not need a Chirpsy login. Billing, cancellation, and restore use your Apple ID. We do not see your credit card number. Apple may provide us an opaque transaction identifier so the App can tell whether the subscription is active.

Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

If we later ship Android, Google Play Billing would work the same way with your Google account—still without a Chirpsy account—unless we update this policy.

1.3 Permissions

You can deny any permission. That feature will not work until you allow it. Notifications are needed for alarms to ring reliably.

Audio is processed on-device in real time. It is not recorded, saved, or uploaded.

Flash/torch for sunrise and strobe.

No photos, no video, no QR scanning. “Get out of bed” tags use NFC, not the camera.

Location (When In Use)

Briefing weather via Open-Meteo. City-level accuracy is enough.

No background or always-on tracking. No location history stored by us.

Calendars

Today’s agenda in Briefing. iOS may label this “Full Access”; we only read today’s events and do not create, edit, or delete them.

Calendar details stay on the device except what you play aloud on the phone.

Health (read)

Last night’s sleep from Apple Health, for Briefing.

Read-only. We never write to Health.

HomeKit

Optional scenes, lights, and contact sensors when an alarm prepares, fires, snoozes, or is dismissed.

We do not upload HomeKit data to O'Daddio Labs.

NFC

Scan tags for get-out-of-bed and NFC games.

Paired tag info is stored on the device.

Local network

Talk to your Home Assistant on your Wi-Fi (URL and token you enter).

We do not host Home Assistant.

Usually no extra prompt

  • Photos: Wallpaper and an optional screenshot on Send Feedback use Apple’s picker. Photos stay on the device unless you attach them to an email you send.

  • Bluetooth remotes: Volume Up/Down camera remotes. Pair in iOS Settings. We do not scan Bluetooth devices.

  • Motion: Shake-to-dismiss uses the accelerometer on-device.

  • Speech: Briefing can be read with Apple’s on-device speech.

  • Background audio: Alarms, white noise, and radio can continue with the screen locked.

Health, HomeKit, and NFC are iPhone features. They will not apply on Android unless we add equivalents and update this policy.

1.4 Network the App may use

What you write and any attachment you add

News, radio, weather, and Home Assistant are third parties (or your own server). Their policies apply to what they receive.

1.5 What we do not use

  • App Tracking Transparency / cross-app tracking

  • Contacts

  • Face ID / Touch ID as a Chirpsy login

  • Health write access

  • Background location

  • Camera photo or video capture

  • Our own analytics SDK in this App

  • Ads in Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm (no AdMob)

1.6 Deleting data

Remove App data by deleting Chirpsy Ultimate Alarm in iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage.

To delete a support thread we received, email support@odaddiolabs.com with subject Delete my support history. We will delete that correspondence within 30 days unless law requires us to keep it.

2. The Site (odaddiolabs.com)

O'Daddio Labs LLC is the controller for personal data processed on the Site.

2.1 Host logs
The host may log IP address, browser, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate city from IP, for security, uptime, and abuse prevention.

2.2 Email and cookies
If you contact us, we use your name and email only to reply. The Site uses only cookies needed to operate. We do not place third-party advertising cookies on the Site.

3. Your rights

EEA, UK, and Switzerland: You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal data we hold (typically support email). Email support@odaddiolabs.com. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

U.S. state laws (including California): You may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children: The App and Site are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

4. Security and changes

Keep your device locked and updated. Support email is handled with ordinary administrative safeguards.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
